The benefits of providing mental health support are long term and extend beyond the school community into society.

Investing in long term outcomes

Pro Bono Economics has estimated that every £1 invested in primary school counselling services results in benefits of £6.20 in terms of improved long-term outcomes.

Health economist Professor Layard in his paper ‘The key to healthier societies’ suggested that the cost of treating a conduct disorder in childhood is £6000, compared to a cost of £150000 per child if left untreated due to costs of dealing with crime, alcohol and drug dependence and suicide.

At BOUNCE! we want every child and family to be able to look forward to a brighter future and believe in the power of early intervention to help those in need.
