Like many of us watching The Traitors, it was surprising to hear comedian James Acaster speak so openly about his struggles with mental health. On the surface, someone can appear funny, successful, confident, and coping well, while quietly battling challenges that others can’t see.
Mental health doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. There isn’t always a visible sign that someone is struggling. Sometimes the people who make us laugh the most are carrying the heaviest burdens.
It’s a gentle reminder to be kind, check in with those around us, and remember that “I’m fine” isn’t always the full story.
At Bounce Brighter Futures, we know that mental health challenges can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or how things appear on the outside. Creating space for honest conversations can make a real difference.
