About BOUNCE!

BOUNCE! is a recently formed and registered charity (1181729). We were established to provide specialist mental health services to children, families, and educational staff within school communities. We’re based in Tiverton, Mid Devon. We aim to improve mental health and build resilience in children, their families and their wider school community; improve learning outcomes and create happier learners, school communities and families. You can find out more about our work at www.bouncebrighterfutures.co.uk

BOUNCE! is currently working with eight schools providing support from half a day per week to three days per week and have funding in place for this work until the end of the current school year. We are in ongoing discussions with other schools and hope to include more soon.

We have recently been awarded a grant from the National Lottery to expand our service in the context of increased need due to Covid. This will allow us to reach more families and children and to offer a wider range of affordable and accessible services in the community.

This Lottery funding, coupled with other funds we already have in place, allows BOUNCE! to move into an exciting phase of growth. We are preparing to move into a premises in Tiverton which will act as a BOUNCE! hub for community based services and have dedicated counselling space for children and parents / carers.

About the role

As we grow we are seeking an additional associate therapist to join the BOUNCE! team and focus on work with adolescents and parents linked to our existing schools. With the community hub we are also keen to establish a low-cost counselling service for the local community and this post would provide sessions as part of that service. This will take a little time to establish but in the first instance we would expect to immediately offer half a day per week and seek to increase this to two days per week.

Ideally you are a dual qualified therapist who can work with children and adults, or an adult therapist with additional specific training and experience of working with adolescents. You will have a genuine interest in working for a counselling service within the charity sector that supports children and families to empower positive change.

Flexibility is essential and sessions are likely to be a mix of Face to Face and Zoom initially. Some Face to Face is essential and part or all of the time will need to be spent at the hub in Tiverton.

To apply please email a brief CV and a cover note explaining why you are interested.
